Dear all,
We are in an age of fatal diseases. Many of us are falling a prey to such diseases during the good days of life. There are many hopeless and patients around us, who are abandoned by hospitals and health sciences, waiting for their call. These people deserve the biggest considerations and our mercy. POOKOYA THANGAL HOSPICE PALLIATIVE HOME CARE CENTRE, is an initiative to hold such patients abreast irrespective of their caste, colour and creed. At Mattannur also this initiative have been launched and going on successfully.
Mattannur Pookkoya Thangal Hospice was inaugurated by Syed Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal, Panakkad and has been hosting more than 450 bed ridden patients. By now, this has become a ray of hope for patients written-off by the medical science. This has become a mobile medical unit providing medicines, oxygen and services of nurses and doctors. All the above services are extended free of cost. In emergency cases, food also is being offered to the needy patients.
An experience that completely gives relief to the bedridden patients, their care takers and relatives…An act of great human sacrifice that can be offered to our fellow beings during this post-pandemic period…. An opportunity to all of us to translate the religious teachings to actions.
Under the aegis of PTH, the first ever ICU ambulance service at Mattannur.
It is worthy to mention the kidney diseases detecting camp that we held in collaboration with Kondotty Shihab Thangal Dialysis Centre.
We have to do lot more to extend a soothing hand for the chronic patients. We hope that generous people, who still have their sympathetic attitude will be with us in our onward journey.
We consider this as a deposit for us and our family to escape such pathetic situations. When we help a needy and helpless patient, God Almighty will protect us, for sure.
Let’s pay solidarity to the virtues, and spread the fragrance of humanity around. May Almighty help us and reward appropriately…
With warm regards….
Hopefully,
